GBUC receives medical items
The President of the Ghana Baptist University College, Rev. Dr. Kojo Osei-Wusuh received a donation of medical items, equipment and supplies. The donation which were in a 40-foot container were presented by Rev. Isaac K. Asante-Agyei, the Director of Christian Education and Auxiliaries. The items included 2 incubators, 15 beds with mattresses, 20 wheel chairs, 9 walkers, suction pumps, vital sign monitors and other medical suppliers worth $80,000.
The project to gather the equipment was spearheaded by the Ghana International Health Foundation, located in Canada with financial contribution and partnership from the Rotary Club of Montreal. It was also through close collaboration with Sante Internationale located in Quebec, Canada and was facilitated by the North American Association of the Ghana Baptist Convention.
Receiving the items, Rev. Dr. Osei-Wusuh expressed his sincerest appreciation to the donors for the kind gesture. He said the equipment would go a long way in the delivery of quality medical care at the community clinic that will be attached to the School of Nursing of the Ghana Baptist University College and also facilitate the training of nurses.
